Salona 44 – Setting the Standard

From Salona yachts comes the exciting, all new Salona 44. This stylish yacht is a further development of the hugely successful Salona 45. The Salona 44 now follows the successful Performance-Cruiser (P-C) design concept established by her younger siblings – the Salona 34, Salona 37, Salona 40 and Salona 42.

Construction of the Salona 44 has incorporated a range of the latest available and proven technologies and techniques recently adopted at AD Boats and other World’s Best Practice yacht builders. The hull and deck laminates are constructed using epoxy based vinylester resin with triaxial and biaxial E-Glass fabrics using the latest infusion method. This gives the finished product not only minimal weight but also extraordinary strength and stiffness. This has resulted in the Salona 44 being not only lighter, stronger and stiffer than the Salona 45 she replaces but she is also faster, much faster.

To further assure the integrity of the hull/keel/rig system, there is an integrated bonding of these critical components using a structural grid of stainless steel. This grid not only locks these key components together, but it also spans the total internal waterline length between the two main bulkheads, resulting in an almost indestructible central unit. This innovative stainless steel grid construction will give any skipper complete confidence to take the Salona 44 across any ocean without fear of keel to hull failure.

To further enhance the overall appeal of the Salona 44, the deck arrangement now features a German mainsheet system which is cleverly led under the deck. There is now also a dedicated life raft locker located on the transom which will allow quick and “hassle-free” deployment in the case of an emergency situation arising. There is also an abundance of cockpit storage units. These are just some of the many improvements made to the deck arrangements.
